Built by a band kid

Hello! I'm Mason. I march sousaphone in the Falcon Marching Band, where I'm a section leader of a section of over 40 sousaphones! I've been in band my whole life. In high school I marched in the marching band and winter percussion ensemble all 4 years, and also played in the concert band. I played alto sax, tuba, bass drum, snare drum, and was a drum major my senior year of high school.

I started building Downbeat after watching directors I respect run entire programs with just a spreadsheet, sticky notes and papers everywhere, because the tools that would actually help cost more than most band budgets can justify.

I started college as a music education major and switched to business administration. I know the day to day struggles of organizing a band program and all the hassle it takes, and I'm learning what it actually takes to run a successful business or organization.
