Directors run the program. Parents stay in the loop. Boosters handle the money and the logistics. Each surface is built for the person who actually uses it.
When your members log in, they see your school's name, your colors, and your logo. Not ours.
You set it up once — your uniform pieces with your measurement fields, your instruments, your categories, exactly how your program actually works. Some directors track everything down to the last pair of gloves. Others just need the big stuff covered. Either way, the app adapts to you, not the other way around.
One replacement uniform jacket costs more than a full year of Downbeat.

Members never see the Downbeat name. They see yours.
If you ever cancel, you leave with a complete organized spreadsheet of everything. No lock-in.
One replacement uniform costs more than Downbeat does annually. This is protection, not an expense.
Parents and students can have their own login roles to submit damage reports. You review and approve.
Downbeat is ad-free. Advertisers do not pay to promote products in this app. Your program data is never sold.
Every workflow is built for as few taps as possible. You have a program to run.

Most music tools are built by people who don't actually understand bands. Most business tools are built by people who don't understand music. I sit in a weird spot in the middle.
Hello! I'm Mason. I'm a junior at Bowling Green State University and a sousaphone section leader in the BGSU Falcon Marching Band. I started on alto sax in 5th grade, switched to tuba in 6th, marched sousaphone, bass drum, and snare drum in my high school's marching band and winter percussion organizations, served as drum major my senior year. I joined the Falcon Marching Band my Freshman year and am entering my fourth year in the band, and my second year as a Sousaphone section leader.
I began college as a Music Education major, then this past year I switched to Business Administration. These two paths have given me a rare combination of perspectives: I understand the real needs and problems of band programs, while also having the business knowledge to build something practical and sustainable.
I built Downbeat because I've seen firsthand how chaotic managing a band inventory is. Pages and Pages and pages of spreadsheets, paper lists everywhere, missing uniforms, unpaid band fees and so much more. Each season brings new problem. Every program deals with these issues, and the few tools that exist are often far too expensive for most band budgets. So I created something that rivals those fancy, expensive inventory softwares and made it much more affordable.
Downbeat is the tool that every program deserves, but couldn't afford. Now you can. If you run a band program, I'd love to help you get organized!
